Managing Marketing Opt-Outs in WooChat

WooChat provides an efficient way to manage marketing opt-outs, ensuring that contacts who choose to unsubscribe are handled properly. Here's how it works:

Automatic Opt-Out Handling

  • Unsubscribe Notification:

    • If a contact who previously opted in for marketing (with opt-in set to YES) sends the keyword "STOP," WooChat automatically sends a message confirming their unsubscription from marketing messages.

  • Opt-In Status Change:

    • Upon receiving the "STOP" message, WooChat changes the contact's marketing opt-in status from YES to NO.

  • Resubscribe Option:

    • If the contact decides to resubscribe, WooChat provides a convenient button for them to click.

    • When they click this button, WooChat automatically subscribes them back, updating their marketing opt-in status from NO to YES.

Footer Content

  • Footer Requirement:

    • WooChat makes it to include specific footer content in all marketing templates. This footer typically includes instructions on how to unsubscribe (e.g., replying with "STOP") and may also contain a resubscription link or button.

This automated process helps businesses manage marketing opt-ins and opt-outs efficiently, ensuring that customer preferences are respected while providing a seamless way for customers to resubscribe if they change their minds.
