Discover Business Service Providers (BSPs) that facilitate communication between WhatsApp Business Accounts and customer management platforms. Learn how to migrate or connect your WhatsApp number with WooChat.
This article delves into Business Service Providers (BSPs), essential intermediaries that enable efficient communication between WhatsApp Business Accounts and customer management platforms.
What is a BSP?
In the context of the WhatsApp Business API, a BSP (Business Service Provider) serves as a mediator between your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) and the platform you use, such as WooChat, to manage your customer communications.
Think of a BSP as a translator that enables your WABA to interact with platforms like WooChat, which allows you to send messages, manage contacts, and monitor your communication effectiveness.
Without a BSP, your WABA cannot connect with these platforms. Additionally, BSPs ensure compliance with WhatsApp’s guidelines and facilitate access to WABA. They also offer additional features such as automated replies, chatbots, shared inboxes, and integrations with other business tools.
Examples of BSPs: Several companies provide BSP services for WhatsApp Business API. Here are two examples:
Twilio
360 Dialog
Migration from Other BSPs
If you're currently using a different BSP for your WhatsApp Business Account, migrating to WooChat may require some extra steps. The process will depend on the specific BSP you’re using.
The migration involves three main components:
The account the phone number is currently registered to.
The number that will be migrated.
Your WooChat Account
Number migration will be initiated by us (WooChat Team).
Step 1: Disable Two-Step Authentication
Before starting the migration process, you must disable two-step verification for the associated phone number.
You can turn off 2FA by going to WhatsApp Business Manager > Phone Numbers > Configurations > Two-Step Confirmation. Look for an option to disable it. If you only see an option to enable, it means two-step authentication has not been activated for your WhatsApp number.
Migrating from WhatsApp Business API to WhatsApp Business/ Personal
Before proceeding with the deletion of a phone number from the WhatsApp Business API, please ensure the following criteria are met:
All outstanding payments are settled.
The phone number has not been used to send more than 1,000 messages in the past 30 days.
To request the deletion of the phone number, send an email to help@woochat.io
with the subject line "Request for Deletion of Phone Number ."
Please use your registered email address with WooChat when sending this communication.
Here's what you can expect during the phone number deletion process:
Our dedicated team will review your request and check for any pending dues, providing you with clear instructions on how to resolve any outstanding payments.
To prevent new messages from being sent or received, our team will temporarily pause all incoming and outgoing messages for the phone number.
You will be notified of the specific date when the deletion process is scheduled to occur.
On the designated date, our team will submit a deletion request to Meta (the parent company of WhatsApp) and keep you informed about the progress.
Once the phone number has been successfully deleted from the WhatsApp Business platform, you can choose to reuse it with the WhatsApp Consumer app or re-register it on the WhatsApp Business platform.
Different rules apply to phone numbers that were previously banned by the WhatsApp Business Platform before deletion.
If you have any further questions or need assistance with the deletion process, please don't hesitate to contact us. Your satisfaction is our top priority.
